Recognizable dragon scale case inspired by Arthurian legend

The watch case and crown is inspired by a gem-set sword hilt. While the bezel simplifies the majestic body of Kilgharrah, a renowned dragon from Arthurian Legend, translated into a geometric design.The design also makes it more ergonomic to adjust both the time and bezel. The watch case design has successfully obtained the design patent in January 2022 (EUIPO Design Patent #008778161-0001).

Dial: Dark-hued fumé mother-of-pearl – A realm of mystery

Explore the intriguing design of the watch’s dial, rooted in Arthurian legends. The dark fumé mother-of-pearl surface paired with multifaceted indexes creates a compelling display, enriched by a triple-layer structure. Luminescent hands and indexes offer a subtle glow, hinting at tales of bravery amid a play of light and shadow. Medieval typeface redesign 

Drawing from the Arthurian period, we’ve crafted a fresh typeface for the bezel numerals, mirroring the medieval typography with its upright, sharp, and angular lines.

Sword-Shaped Hands

Utilizing DIAMOND-CUT technology, the hands are precisely crafted, with a semi-polishing technique often found in high-end watches. This method leaves one side polished, the other brushed, enhancing the hands’ contrast against the dial for improved legibility across various lighting conditions, ensuring an effortless time reading.

Japanese NBR Rubber Strap

In collaboration with Viking totem artist Arkadiy Welesov, we offer a Gothic-style NBR rubber strap inspired by the ‘Sword in the Stone’ legend. This strap, melding style and function, provides comfort, water resistance, and durability. Its quick-release feature allows easy strap changes, enabling a seamless switch to the iconic dragon scale design stainless steel strap without the need for tools.

Vintage Italian Leather Strap

Made from an Italian calf leather that has a wonderful vintage look to it. The straps are hand stitched with a contrasting colour and lined with soft beige nubuck leather. A perfect choice for Aurora of Arthur watch. All straps are equipped with a Quick Release Pin, so you don’t need any tools to change the strap. You can easily switch between different straps.

Sapphire Crystal (with Anti-glare Coating)

The Aurora of Arthur Series features sapphire crystal glass with a three-layer anti-glare coating for enhanced clarity. Known for its excellent scratch resistance, this synthetic sapphire is created from pure alumina, ensuring transparency akin to natural quartz. Precisely shaped and polished, it serves as the durable and clear watch glass in our timepieces.

In the Aurora of Arthur Series, bezel markers, hour indexes and hands feature Swiss Super-LumiNova®, a high-quality luminous pigment, ensuring clear readability in low light, adding a functional yet subtle nod to Arthurian mystique.

Arthurian Legend-Inspired Presentation Box

Each Aurora of Arthur watch comes in a custom storybook presentation box, hinting at Arthurian tales. Inside, along with the watch, you’ll find user-friendly multilingual instructions, an illustrated Arthurian legend book by North Macedonian artist Ana Gyorgyiyoska, a certificate of authenticity with a unique serial number, and a warranty card. For buyers of our steel strap model, a strap adjustment tool is also included for immediate wear.
