Patented Design Inspired by the Dragon Scale Armour of Arthurian Legend

Drawing inspiration from the renowned Arthurian legend of the Great Dragon, Kilgharrah, and the fabled Sword of Kings, we've masterfully integrated traditional craftsmanship with modern design principles into the robust stainless steel case of our watches. By employing intricate watchmaking techniques, we've given the case a harmonious blend of brushed and polished finishes, creating an interplay of light and shadow. Complementing this is our brand's distinct gemstone crown and the gemstone sword hilt, visible from the side, alongside a uniquely geometric bezel that echoes the dragon's dorsal fin. We've prioritised 'ergonomic design' and 'comfort', further enhancing the case with hard sapphire glass. This unique design was successfully granted a patent across all 27 member countries of the European Union (Patent number #008778161-0001) this year.

Sixty Hour Automatic Movement

The Kilgharrah watch, steeped in the rich lore of Arthurian legends, is powered by the state-of-the-art, Japanese-engineered Miyota Cal.8315 automatic movement. Its innovative design boasts extended power reserves, outperforming other movements in its class. The blue screws, patented for their anti-oxidation corrosion resistance, enhance the watch's longevity and reliability.
Underneath the watch's facade, the automatic rotor takes its design cues from the mythical double dragon imprint found on the Sword of Kings. This exquisite detail is embossed on the back of the watch, serving as a constant reminder of the watch's legendary inspiration.

Dial with Unique Manufacturing Process

Each dial undergoes meticulous crafting, inlaying, and polishing to bring to life the 3D dragon scale pattern, the armour totem, and the distinctive numeral hour markers inspired by the age of King Arthur. The watch's font, designed by our expert team, reflects this historic period with a blueprint that exudes strength, sharp lines, straight edges, and distinct angles. With Swiss Super-LumiNova® imbued hands and numerals, the watch assumes a mysterious aura in the dark, reminiscent of the iconic scene of the Sword of Kings.

Sword of the Stone-Inspired Watch Hands

In homage to the legendary Sword in the Stone from Arthurian folklore, we utilise the precision of DIAMOND-CUT technology to forge watch hands that mirror the sharp and meticulous contours of this mythical blade. To add a sophisticated texture, one side of each watch hand is finely polished, while the other is etched with delicate sand patterns, reminiscent of an ancient blacksmith's craft. In recognition of the sword's enchanting glow in Arthur's tale, these hands are also imbued with Swiss SuperLumiNova®BGW9, a high-quality luminous pigment employed by leading Swiss watchmakers. When darkness falls, the hands emit a captivating blue luminescence, echoing the magical aura of the legendary Sword in the Stone.

Sapphire Crystal (with Anti-glare Coating)

The Kilgharrah Series utilises sapphire crystal glass, underscored by a three-layer anti-glare coating. Sapphire crystal is renowned for its exceptional scratch resistance, being the third hardest transparent material on Earth, outshone only by moissanite and diamond. This synthetic sapphire is expertly crafted from pure alumina (Al2O3), prepared at high temperatures to be free of impurities like iron and titanium oxides. This process ensures the crystal mirrors the transparency and colourless nature of its natural quartz counterpart, lacking the typical "blue" hue associated with sapphires. Once produced, the synthetic sapphire is shaped into discs with precision diamond tools, and subsequently polished to perfection to serve as our watch glass.
